GAIACOYOTE
This story is about a delusional old naturalist who believes in a Creator, in miracles, but not in religion. Gaiacoyote is a coyote-like entanglement of Gaia the Earth-as-sentient-organism, and Coyote, the "Trickster" of many indiginous American folk traditions. The old naturalist and Gaiacoyote entangle with one another in a tiny, possibly dysfunctional community in southwestern Texas.
